11/10/2019 to 13/10/2019 FIRE GARDEN - AT THE NEWBURY MARKET PLACE
 CORN EXCHANGE, NEWBURY

The streets of Newbury will be transformed by fire as we celebrate ten years of outdoor events. A spectacular successor to our popular Ablaze fire installation on the Kennet and Avon canal in 2013, we are thrilled to present a beautiful and truly spellbinding way to celebrate ten years of the Corn Exchange's amazing outdoor events programme. Legendary French fire artists Carabosse come to Newbury to transform the familiar landscape of the town's streets and squares into a magical and mesmeric wonderland of flickering flames. As much alchemists as artists, Carabosse have travelled the world, never failing to enchant audiences from the very young to the very old. Come and wander the streets amidst thousands of clay fire pots, suspended illuminations and ingenious kinetic sculptures; sit, watch and listen as live music and beautiful firelight provide truly magical moments that will change the way you feel about the town forever.

Triangle Players' Autumn production is the hilarious comedy, ‘CURTAIN CALL’, by Bettine Manktelow. The play depicts a chaotic day in the life of Alec Partridge, Manager of the Thurlow Playhouse. 03/11/2019 ROYALS v WEST HAM - CONTINENTAL WOMEN'S CUP (3pm)

This will be the first time the two sides meet since the FA Cup Semi-Final back in April of this year, when West Ham won 4-3 on penalties in an epic encounter at Adams Park. West Ham sit on the same points as Reading in the Women’s Super League, but have played an additional game. In the Continental Cup group, however, West Ham have taken 1 point after two rounds of the competition compared to Reading’s 6. Royals women had been on a great run of four wins out of five, including an away victory against Liverpool and a 4-0 hammering of Tottenham. But a certain amount of momentum was halted after last weekend’s trip to Leigh Sports Village when the team were beaten 2-0 by Manchester United Women in a game where the Royals saw the better of the action.
